Planning Your Next Vacation

When planning your next vacation, take into consideration different types of travel before making any major decisions. Accommodations, flights and RV travel should all come under consideration.

Don't over plan your trip. Leave room for relaxing and spontaneity. Plan enough activities to keep you from being bored or wondering what to do next, but be flexible, so that if you come across something interesting you are free to explore it.

The most important thing to do when on holiday is to leave your worries at home. Many people go on trips without planning a budget. There's no way you can enjoy yourself if you are worried about money. When we decide on a destination, we start putting money aside for the gas or plane tickets first, then the accomodations, whether that's a hotel, condo or RV campsite, next is food and then tickets for attractions. Spending money comes last and by the time we are ready to leave, we know approximately how much the trip will cost and what we can afford.

This takes the guess work out of vacationing and takes money right out of the picture.
