Tunica

Tunica, MS is a small town just shy of Memphis. We first discovered this jewel through a recommendation from a friend. My wife and mother-in-law are handicap and we like to go places that make it easy for them to get around. Casinos of course are a great place to go if you are limited physically. Everyone always has a good time when we visit. There are a wide variety of accommodations available in Tunica. They range from 5 star hotels to campgrounds. There are also condo's to rent. Whatever your preference, they've got it.

The casinos we spend the most time at are the Horseshoe and the Sheraton. We usually stay at on of these hotels and enjoy the buffet meals in the casinos. There is something for everyone and all at a very reasonable price. The rooms are spacious and luxury rooms are available. It's an all round good experience each time we go and very relaxing.

Memphis is only about 30 minutes away, so there are plenty of things to do besides gamble. Museums, nightclubs, Barbeque and of course Graceland are just a few reasons to visit.

Casinos make a great stop over when you are traveling. They are usually located in between big tourist destinations and are very budget friendly as far as the rooms are concerned. It's also a great way to beat the heat during the middle of the day. Go exploring in the morning and evening when it's not so hot.
