offers abundant road adventures while cruising down historic Route 66. This state has much to share with it's roots buried deep in the heart of the old west.
Texas
is not the only place that made tycoons out of cowboys. Many fortunes were created by finding oil in this state. Museums and the legacies left behind by these pioneers can be explored all over the state.
The Chocktaw and Chickasaw indian tribes are just a few that have influenced the culture and people throughout the state. Step back in time to get a sense of what the old west was really about by visiting one of the many towns and historical sites.
This is the perfect opportunity to get some camping done. We were fortunate enough to have an unexpected detour on our way to Colorado. We landed just across the Red River and stayed at The Red River Ranch. We were really impressed with the sites and amenities this RV park had to offer.
